P&M Plastics fabricates marine-grade plastic components for boat-builders, dock and marina operators, aquaculture growers and marine repair shops across the east coast of Australia. Salt water and UV are unforgiving: getting the right grade of plastic is the difference between a part that lasts a decade and one that crazes inside two summers. We work in UV-stabilised marine grades exclusively for marine applications and fabricate everything from one-off repair-and-replace components through to production-run quantities for boatyard suppliers.

The workhorse for marine work is UV-stabilised HDPE : fenders, cleats, dock furniture, bow rollers, slide pads and rub rails. Marine-grade polycarbonate handles hatch covers, windows and impact-resistant glazing. Polypropylene is the go-to for hatchery and aquaculture tanks and chemical-resistant bunds. UHMWPE covers the high-wear applications: bow rollers, anchor pulpit pads and trailer slide rails. We hold material certification on engineering-grade marine stock and can supply documentation packages for production and survey work.

Multi-process work: CNC routing , plastic welding , custom fabrication and assembly: handled under one roof. That single-supplier accountability matters when a marine fitout needs CNC-routed brackets welded to a fabricated tank with polished acrylic windows. One quote, one QA chain, one freight booking. Repair-and-replace work is welcome alongside production-run quantities: there's no minimum order.

We freight marine fabrications to boatyards and marinas across the east coast: Gold Coast, Brisbane River , Hervey Bay , Hastings River and Camden Haven , the Manning River and Wallis Lake , Throsby Creek and Stockton and Brisbane Water and Tuggerah Lakes . Most marine jobs are quoted within 24 hours and dispatched inside 48 hours via Pacific Highway linehaul.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plastics actually hold up in saltwater and UV?
UV-stabilised HDPE is the workhorse for marine applications: fenders, cleats, dock furniture, bow rollers and rub rails. Marine-grade polycarbonate handles hatch covers and impact-resistant glazing. Polypropylene suits chemical-resistant tanks, bunds and aquaculture infrastructure. UHMWPE is the wear-and-abrasion specialist for slide pads, bow rollers and trailer rails. We never use commodity-grade plastics for marine work: every job is specced for long-term saline and UV exposure.
Can you fabricate one-off boat fitout components?
Yes: repair-and-replace and one-off fitouts are bread-and-butter for our marine customers. There's no minimum order. Bring drawings, a sample part or even a rough sketch and we'll quote within 24 hours. Common one-offs include replacement hatch covers, custom-cut step pads, bespoke dock furniture and one-off helm-station fitouts.
Do you supply for aquaculture: oyster farming and hatcheries?
Yes. UV-stabilised HDPE for float housings, basket frames and tray components is a standard product line: we ship regularly to Manning River and Wallis Lake oyster growers. Polypropylene tanks and bunds for hatchery and processing applications are available cut-to-size or fully fabricated to drawing, with food-contact-approved grades on request.
How does freight work to coastal boatyards on the NSW coast?
We run daily Pacific Highway linehaul services from Burleigh Heads. Standard delivery is 2–3 business days direct to boatyards and marinas at Hastings River, Camden Haven, Manning River, Throsby Creek, Stockton, Brisbane Water, Tuggerah Lakes and the Gold Coast. Overnight express is available for urgent repair-and-replace work at additional freight cost.
