Acrylic / Perspex Cut to Size

Cut-to-size acrylic is how most P&M Plastics customers buy Perspex: rectangular sheets cut to exact width, height and thickness from cast or extruded acrylic stock, ready to install. We hold the full clear cast range plus the most popular colours in stock for same-day or next-day cutting, with a precision cut tolerance of +/-0.5mm on the saw and +/-0.1mm on the CNC.

Sizes and formats we cut

We cut acrylic from 2mm through 25mm thickness in any rectangular dimension up to 3050 x 2030mm. Custom shapes (circles, slots, holes, cutouts) are quoted with a DXF, DWG, PDF, SVG, AI or STEP file. For simple rectangles, the cut-to-size pricing calculator on Perspex Online quotes and accepts orders instantly; for shapes with cutouts or curves, email us the artwork and a quote comes back within hours.

Colours and grades

Clear cast acrylic is the workhorse for cut-to-size orders, with optical clarity equivalent to glass at 92 percent light transmission. Opal, frosted, smoked, fluorescent, satin and a full Plexiglas colour range are stocked. For outdoor applications we always specify cast acrylic over extruded (better UV stability) and recommend at least 5mm thickness for stand-alone panels.

Cut-to-size compared to standard sheets

Buying cut-to-size saves the cost of waste offcuts and the time to cut sheets in your own workshop. Our cut-to-size pricing is competitive with whole-sheet pricing because we can pack multiple customer cuts into one master sheet on our CNC bed, which keeps yield high. For very large quantities of the same dimension, whole-sheet pricing may be more economical; for one-off custom dimensions or small batches, cut-to-size is the right call.
