How We Fabricate Acrylic / Perspex

We fabricate acrylic using CO2 laser cutting for intricate shapes with polished edges, CNC routing for thicker sheets and complex profiles, strip heater bending for angled components, and solvent bonding for assembled display pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex? +

Perspex is a premium brand name of cast acrylic. All Perspex is acrylic, but not all acrylic is Perspex. Perspex is cast (not extruded), which gives superior optical clarity and machinability.

Can acrylic be used outdoors? +

Yes, acrylic is one of the best plastics for outdoor use. It's UV-stable and won't yellow, crack, or degrade in Australian conditions.

How does acrylic compare to polycarbonate? +

Acrylic has better optical clarity and scratch resistance. Polycarbonate has much higher impact strength. Choose acrylic for displays and signage; polycarbonate for safety glazing and machine guards.
