Project photos for this cell are being commissioned. Until they land, see the parent Acrylic (Perspex) material page gallery.
Why Gold Coast businesses choose P&M for Acrylic (Perspex) display stands
Acrylic is the workhorse of retail display because it holds an optical-grade clear finish, can be CNC-routed and laser-cut to any silhouette, and bonds invisibly to itself with solvent cement. P&M Plastics stocks cast acrylic from 2mm to 25mm in clear, frosted, white, black and colour, and we run a dedicated acrylic bay for diamond-polishing edges and solvent-bonding box assemblies.
- Cast acrylic and Perspex from 2mm to 25mm in clear, frosted, white, black, fluoro and brand colours
- Diamond-polished edges (optical-grade), flame-polished or laser-cut polished finish on every job
- Solvent-bonded boxes, risers, brochure holders, sign-holders and tiered display stands
- Vinyl print mounting, screen-printed branding and direct-print options for finished POS units
- Volume runs (100+ units) priced per piece; one-offs welcome

Gold Coast retail and event display work we make stands for
The Gold Coast retail mix drives a steady run of display work: boutiques and concept stores through Burleigh, Pacific Fair and Robina town centres need product risers, hero-piece plinths and brochure holders that match the brand fitout. Cafes, gelaterias and patisseries across Burleigh, Mermaid and Surfers spec frosted-edge counter displays and tiered cake stands. Event production crews fitting out Hota, the Convention Centre and the Star spec branded acrylic in volume for activation runs.
Most of our stand work falls into one of four shapes: a CNC-routed silhouette with polished edges (logo cut-outs, free-standing letters, brand shapes); a solvent-bonded box (brochure holder, donation box, product enclosure); a tiered riser (cake stand, jewellery riser, eyewear display); or a flat-pack POS unit ship in volume to multiple stores. We can quote any of these from a sketch, a CAD file, or a sample of an existing piece you want replicated.
Cast acrylic is the right pick for visible retail surfaces because it holds optical clarity for years, machine-polishes to a near-glass finish, and resists yellowing better than extruded acrylic. We default to cast unless cost-per-piece on a high-volume run pushes us to extruded; we will flag the trade-off on the quote. For long runs we can supply a costed sample for sign-off before tooling the full job.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a custom acrylic display stand take to make on the Gold Coast? +
Single units typically ship within 3 to 7 working days. Volume runs (50 to 500 units) sit at 2 to 4 weeks depending on artwork sign-off and polish requirement. We can quote on a confirmed lead time once we see the file or sketch.
Can you match a Pantone or brand colour in acrylic? +
We stock cast acrylic in a wide colour range including most standard fluoros and primary brand colours. For exact Pantone match we either supply colour-tinted cast (lead time 2 to 3 weeks for mill-order) or print a brand-colour vinyl onto a clear or white acrylic substrate, which matches Pantone exactly and ships from stock material.
What thickness acrylic should I use for a counter-top display stand? +
For brochure holders and small counter risers, 3mm to 4.5mm cast acrylic is standard. For tiered cake or product stands carrying a meaningful load, 6mm to 8mm. For free-standing floor displays or large logo cut-outs, 10mm to 20mm reads as a substantial fitout piece. We will recommend the right thickness once we see the job.
Can you bond acrylic so the join is invisible? +
Yes. The standard for fully clear butt-joins is solvent cement (Tensol 70, Weld-On 4, Acrifix 1S) which chemically welds the two pieces into one. For premium retail and event jobs we use UV-cure adhesive on the outside corners which gives an almost glass-like seam. Both finishes are routine in our acrylic bay.
Do you do volume runs for franchise or rollout POS work? +
Yes. We regularly batch 50 to 500 unit POS runs for franchise rollouts, event activations and concept-store launches. CNC nesting on full sheets brings the per-piece price down meaningfully on volume; full mill orders of branded colour sheet are also feasible for very large runs.
Can you print or vinyl-apply graphics onto the acrylic stand? +
Yes. We finish vinyl-mounted graphics in-house (printed third-party, mounted by us with bubble-free squeegee technique), and we partner with two Gold Coast UV direct-print houses for printing directly onto the acrylic sheet. Screen-print is also available for very high-volume single-colour branding.
Do you deliver acrylic displays to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast? +
Yes. Gold Coast delivery is included on most orders; Brisbane and Sunshine Coast are routine with a freight surcharge quoted on size. We pack flat-pack POS work in protected cartons for interstate dispatch as well.
